Caddington Solar Farm

The Caddington Solar Farm started generating energy in 2014 and was the first of its kind in Central Bedfordshire. The two solar fields generate 10MW per year - enough to supply power to 60% homes and businesses in the two parishes as well as supplying the national grid.

Using solar farms to generate power significantly reduces carbon emissions and are a vital step towards the UK’s reduced dependency on fossil fuels for energy.

The Caddington Solar farm is part of the Central Bedfordshire Neighbourhood Plan, aiming to make the area self-sufficient in green energy through the generation of power by solar and other methods.
